Creative & AI Solutions Designer

Creative craft, powered by practical AI.

I build practical systems for small teams — AI assistants, client portals, reporting and document tools, and print-ready publications. AI handles the production; the judgement calls stay with me.

What I do
AI Assistants Documents & Reports Web & Tools Brand Design

01 Services

AI that does the work — backed by design.

Two things I do most: AI assistants that answer for you, and document and reporting systems that only have to be built once. Design, web and content work sits around both, so everything looks and sounds like you.

AI Assistants & Automation

AI support assistantsKnowledge basesWorkflow automation

Custom AI support assistants built on your knowledge base and tuned to your brand voice — with human escalation and human-approved learning. Plus automations that quietly remove repetitive admin and marketing tasks.

Document & Reporting Systems

Annual reportsBooklets & printDocument tools

Reports, publications and document tools built from one source — so a web version and a print-ready PDF stay in step, and a late change to a number is a single edit. Handed off editable, so your team can amend without coming back to me.

so everything you ship looks and sounds on-brand — design, web, and content built around the core work.

KAI Works — A Calm, AI-Backed Client Portal

AI · Full build

The Problem

Client work was scattered across email, DMs, and shared drives — replies slowed to a crawl whenever I was heads-down on other work, and key decisions got lost in the scroll.

My Role

Designer & full-stack builder — product design, React front end, Supabase back end, and tuning KAI's voice and guardrails.

The Solution

I designed and built KAI Works: an invite-only client workspace where each client shares one private thread with me — messages, files, and pinned decisions in a single calm room. An AI assistant, KAI, answers in my voice when I'm away, clearly labeled, and hands anything real — prices, dates, commitments — straight back to me.

The Outcome

One working thread per client instead of scattered inboxes, instant on-brand replies even when I'm offline, and saved decisions that stay findable — a productized way of working I can invite every new client into.

YC Dental — Brand, Website & Patient Document System

AI · Brand + assistant

The Problem

A Johannesburg dental practice had no website and no consistent identity. Patients left appointments with printed care sheets, and anything sent afterwards went out as loose attachments — with two audiences to serve at once: prospective patients arriving from search, and existing patients needing their instructions on a phone, without a login.

My Role

Branding, content, structure and build — identity, the single-page site, the patient document workflow, and the site assistant.

The Solution

I set the brand — name, mark, blue-led palette and type system — then applied it unchanged across the site, the patient documents and the social preview. Patient documents moved from an open page to locked links: the practice selects the sheets to send, enters the patient's name and prescription, and generates a short link showing only those sheets, each headed “Prepared for [name].” A site assistant answers visitor questions from the practice's own services, hours and FAQ content — rewritten from keyword matching to a language model so paraphrased questions still land on the right answer.

The Outcome

The practice is live with its own identity, a working enquiry and booking path, and a document workflow that sends each patient a private link instead of a printed stack — issued in under a minute, without touching code.

A Living Ownership Map of a 119-Entity Group

AI · Data + build

The Problem

The group's ownership lived in a dense structure spreadsheet — accurate, but almost impossible to read or present. Shareholdings, jurisdictions and voting-versus-economic splits were all there, buried in rows. They needed something they could explore, show to a board, and keep current without re-keying the same fact in several documents.

My Role

Design, data and build — information design, the interactive chart, and the reporting documents that read from it.

The Solution

An interactive ownership chart covering 119 entities across 20 jurisdictions — pan, zoom, search, collapse, per-company detail panels, focus mode to isolate any sub-tree, and saved named views. Entities and cap tables are editable in place. One data file is the single source of truth, so a board ownership report, a full entity register and a one-page auditor organisation chart all read from the same numbers.

The Outcome

A 119-entity group that can be explored, presented and exported to PDF, image, CSV or data file — with an edit made once flowing through to every document.

Print Publications, Produced in Hours Instead of Weeks

AI · Publication design

The Problem

Two clients needed substantial print booklets on short timelines: a 43-page inclusive-events guide for church volunteers planning around disability access, and an 89-page booklet for a twelve-day study tour. In both cases the source material was a text document, a folder of photographs, and a previous edition as a reference for tone.

My Role

Content, structure and art direction — the page system for each, visual treatment, copy editing, and the page-by-page review of the build.

The Solution

Both booklets were built on a repeating page system set before any page was laid out. The inclusive-events guide splits into a reading half and a working half — argument and participant needs first, then an eight-stage planning checklist with a coloured tab down the outer edge so a reader can thumb straight to the stage they are in; its typography follows the booklet's own accessibility advice. The tour booklet repeats one spread per day — full-bleed photograph, zebra-striped schedule page, ruled notes page facing — with reference pages sitting either side of the daily run.

The Outcome

132 pages of print-ready publication across the two, each handed off with an editable file so the client can amend details without coming back to me. Both were produced in a single working session; the same work built page by page had previously run into weeks.

03 About

Creativity, meet practical technology.

For over twelve years, I've worked at the meeting point of creativity and technology — designing brands, running marketing and social, and building content systems for educational institutions and consumer brands.

Somewhere along the way I noticed a pattern: talented teams were spending their best hours on repetitive busywork — the same questions, the same posts, the same admin — with little time left for the creative, human work that actually grows a brand.

That's what pulled me into AI. After an intensive Generative AI Bootcamp, I started building real, practical tools — and the work has since run from AI support assistants and client portals to a 119-entity corporate ownership map, a claim reporting tool for a loss adjusting practice, a dental practice's patient document system, and print publications running to hundreds of pages.

I treat AI as a business tool — one that, combined with good design, lets small teams punch far above their weight. AI handles the production; the judgement calls — what goes in, in what order, how it reads — stay with me. My goal is simple: smarter systems, lighter workloads, and work that always feels human.

04 How I Work

Principles behind every project.

01

Human first

Technology should make work feel lighter and more personal.

02

Clear over clever

Plain language and simple systems. If it's hard to understand, it's not done.

03

Practical, not hype

AI as a real tool that solves real problems — useful, honest, grounded.

04

Quietly premium

Let the work and the outcomes speak. Confident, never boastful.
